Christmas is behind us but there is still plenty of fun to be had in Bryson City. The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is extending the extending the wildly popular Polar Express trains until January 4th, 2015. The ride features all the fun of the Polar Express: Singing, dancing, getting to wear your PJs in public, cookies, hot chocolate, a reading of the classic story and all the songs from the movie. Santa will visit with each child and leave them with a special gift as the train returns him to the North Pole.
The train departs from the Bryson City Depot on Everett Street with several departure times each day. The whole trip takes about an hour and a half and is sure to be a highlight of your family’s holiday season. Make sure to arrive a bit early to make sure you have time to use the restroom, get settled, etc. The train always departs on time! Click here for train schedule and to make reservations.
