There is a new festival in the area this year that celebrates the holiday season as well as our local culture. Cherokee Lights and Legends features a light show designed to reflect Cherokee stories that were traditionally told during the winter months. There will also be an ice skating rink, carnival rides, a holiday bazaar featuring local craftsmen, local food vendors and, of course, Santa Claus.
The annual holiday celebration will be held Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm – 9:00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00-10:00pm through January 3, 2015. The event will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will open longer hours on New Year’s Eve from 5:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m. and will feature New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Admission: Adults 13 years and older $5, children ages 6-12 $3 and children 5 and under free. The cost of admission includes the light show and nightly entertainment.
